2008 Chester Race Week proves to be another resounding successby Adam Jacobs![]() It was a rough ride for these sailors. More than 150 boats flocked to the Chester Yacht Club this year as part of Chester Race Week.
The race has been a tradition of the area for more than 150 years. This year's edition also marks the first year world-renowned sailor and former Olympian Andreas Josenhans served as principal race officer. The race got underway August 13, at 12:30 p.m. in Mahone Bay and held until August 17. The weather was a mix of sun, rain and fog, testing the skill and will of each competitor.
