More than a dozen records were broken when Lunenburg hosted the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation district track meet from May 19 to 21.

 Among the record-breakers were:

• Mallory Taylor of Bridgewater High School in the junior girls' shot put and discus.

• Lucas Swinamer of Forest Heights Community School in the intermediate boys' javelin.

• Rachel McIntosh of Park View in the senior girls' 80-metre hurdles and high jump.

• Jennifer Pitman of Park View in the senior girls' triple jump.

• Andrew MacDonald of Bridgewater in the senior boys' shot put and discus.

• Marcus Dolliver of Park View in the senior boys' high jump.

• Brandon Fancy of Park View in the senior boys' pole vault.

 Park View swept all four intermediate and senior team categories, while Hebbville Academy won both junior divisions.

 Lunenburg will also host the western regional championship meet on May 29 and 30.
